Common questions
Is there a joining fee?
Most facilities charge both a monthly fee and a once-off joining fee. Ask for the total first-month cost.
Can I try a class before joining?
A free trial or a day pass is common. Ask what the trial includes and whether you need to book.
What are the peak times?
Weekday mornings before 08:00 and weekdays from about 17:00 are the busiest. Early morning and weekend mornings are usually quieter.
Get listed on Google Maps
Most people looking for a gym near you find it on Google Maps, not in a directory. Having a Maps listing is what puts you in front of them — and it is free.
1. Choose this category
Your primary category is the single strongest factor in local map results. Pick the most specific one that fits, not the broadest.

2. Copy your details
Use this exactly as written everywhere you list the business. Any difference between your website, Maps and other directories hurts you in search results.
